This Statement applies to all individuals working at all levels and grades, including senior managers, officers, directors, employees (whether permanent, fixed term, or temporary), consultants, contractors, casual workers and agency staff, volunteers, interns, agents, sponsors, or any other person associated with us, or any of our subsidiaries or their employees, wherever located (collectively referred to as workers in this policy).
CTA’s ethics and compliance policy is rooted in four principles:
- Act in accordance with laws and regulationsIn every circumstance, employees and entities must observe international, federal, national, and local law, as well as business ethics rules pertaining to their activities. It is CTA’s firm policy to comply fully with all laws and regulations that apply to our work and to conduct all of our business in an honest and ethical manner. We take a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption, and we are committed to acting professionally, fairly, and with integrity in all our business dealings. We implement and enforce effective systems to counter bribery. We will uphold all laws relevant to countering bribery and corruption in all the jurisdictions in which we operate. However, we remain bound by the laws of The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in respect of our conduct both at home and abroad. Bribery and corruption are punishable for individuals by imprisonment and if we are found to have taken part in corruption CTA as a company could face a fine, be excluded from tendering for public or international contracts and face damage to our reputation. We, therefore, take our legal responsibilities very seriously.
- Behave honestly and promote a culture of integrityHonesty and integrity must govern both business and interpersonal relationships, and everyday professional practices. Consequently, CTA encourages reporting of ethical incidents. No employee may be sanctioned for using a reporting measure for these incidents selflessly, in good faith, and in accordance with the conditions set out by the law
- Be LoyalCommitments must be kept; communications are done in good faith, and with a spirit of providing sincere information.
- Respect OthersCTA attaches the utmost importance to tolerance, respect for the rights of persons, their dignity, and their singularity, and to respect for different cultures.
These four principles apply in every circumstance to:
- All employees, entities, and subsidiaries in their daily business activities
- Relationships with customers and stakeholders (e.g. service providers, partners, investors, government and non-governmental organizations)
- The society in which the Group operates (communities, municipalities, environment).
